Nomination UAE National Orchestra

To mark the creation of the France-Kuwait Friendship Society, the International Philharmonic Orchestra-Paris, conducted by Maestro Amine Kouider, gave two exceptional concerts at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre (JACC) in Kuwait City.

These concerts, organised in partnership with the French Embassy, the French Institute of Kuwait and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters of Kuwait, celebrated the friendship and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The first concert featured universal classical music, the French repertoire and traditional and contemporary Kuwaiti compositions. The second concert revisited the great classics of international cinema through their film scores.

The Maestro took advantage of his visit to Kuwait to share his experience with pupils from the Lycée français du Koweït and welcome nearly 750 schoolchildren from Kuwait City to a rehearsal.

Renouvellement Mandat Artiste de l'UNESCO pour la Paix

On the proposal of the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms Audrey Azoulay, Maestro Amine Kouider’s mandate as UNESCO Artist for Peace was renewed at the end of September 2024.

Committed to dialogue between cultures, Amine Kouider founded the International Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra-Paris in 1997, an ensemble bringing together professionals and amateurs of many nationalities, dedicated to promoting tolerance and peace through music. This project earned Amine Kouider and his ensemble the title of UNESCO Artists for Peace in 1999.

Amine Kouider’s commitment to UNESCO has resulted in numerous concerts in support of various campaigns for education, heritage and the major humanitarian causes supported by the Organisation.

The Orchestra has also been mobilised to celebrate the inclusion of new monuments on the World Heritage List and to take part in major events held at UNESCO headquarters.

Décoration Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres

Appointed by the Minister of Culture in 2023, Amine Kouider received his insignia of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from Ambassador at a ceremony held on 21 November 2024 at the Residence of France in Abu Dhabi.

This distinction pays tribute to the Maestro’s commitment to cultural dialogue and the promotion of French culture in the Arab world, particularly in the context of cultural cooperation projects carried out in partnership with the French Institutes.

This distinction also recognises the work accomplished by the International Philharmonic Orchestra-Paris, of which he is the founder, conductor and artistic director

This distinction is also a mark of confidence and support from the French authorities for the Maestro’s collaborations and projects in France and abroad.

Nomination UAE National Orchestra

Amine Kouider is part of the founding team of the newly created UAE National Orchestra.

This orchestra, founded to celebrate and promote the country’s rich musical heritage, aims to blend tradition and modernity to shine on the international stage.

To carry out this new mission, the Maestro will be able to draw on his 30 years of experience in promoting dialogue between East and West cultures, as well as his work on the creation and development of national orchestras in Algeria and Saudi Arabia.
